Music: "Once Upon Your Dead Body" - Coheed and Cambria
I know I said that I wasn't going to submit anything else, but yesterday when talking to a friend I had the isnpiration for this piece. I had actually started on it a whole ago...but it took current events and Gerard's 30th birthday to really bring out it's potential.
I feel that this image reflects Gerard's strength and why I admire him more then any other person in existence. I wanted to go with the whole recent "King of Hearts" theme, since I thought that was my best anime-representation of Gerard thus far. I put the red IV to show the presence of change in his life...from Three Cheers to The Black Parade, that he has changed as a person. I decided to have the microphone wire and the razorblade tearing through his heart to represent his undying passion for his music, and having it physically connected to his heart.
Gerard Way is an amazing, stunning man that has carried himself through so much pain. He is so inspiring....to the point where he has saved lives. He's a fucking beautiful person and if he doesn't give up on all of you....neither can I.
